Free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter Gundam Evolution will end service on November 29, developer Bandai Namco Online announced.
Gundam Evolution first launched for PC via Steam on September 21, 2022, followed by PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 30, 2022. When service ends, service will have been live for just over a year on PC and one year on consoles.
“It is with great sadness that we are announcing the conclusion of Gundam Evolution,” executive producer Kazuya Maruyama said in a message. “We wanted to create a title that brought first-person shooter fans and Gundam fans together. We challenged ourselves to create an authentic Gundam first-person shooter game that could be played globally. Unfortunately, we have determined that it is no longer possible for us to provide a service that satisfies our players.”
Updates will continue to roll out with Season 6 on August 23, which will add a new unit and two maps, and the final season on October 25, which will add a new unit and a map.
A final live stream, “Mission Briefing Final,” is planned for July 21 at 11:00 p.m. PT / July 22 at 2:00 a.m. ET. You will be able to watch it on YouTube.
