AMD's board partners are preparing their next-generation TRX50 motherboards which will offer support for Threadripper 7000 CPUs.
ASRock always has its full stack ready for mainstream and workstation platforms and this time, the company is preparing the TRX50 WS which will be utilizing AMD's TRX50 socket and WS chipset with support for the latest Threadripper 7000 "Storm Peak" CPUs. This motherboard had 8-channel memory support and an abundance of PCIe lanes.
The same might be the case here with the AMD TRX50 motherboards keeping the lineup simple & more HEDT friendly while a WRX series lineup focuses on offering users with plentiful of features as demanded within the workstation segment. We know and have also confirmed very recently with a range of motherboard makers that there would be two platforms for the Threadripper 7000 CPUs.
One is going to feature 4-channel memory support and the other will carry 8-channel support. The WS platform is supposed to feature the LGA 6096 "SP5" socket with up to 8-channel memory & 128 PCIe Gen 5 lanes support while the HEDT platform is supposed
