Against the Storm, the dark fantasy city builder developed by Eremite Games, will leave early access on December 8, according to a recently published blog update shared on Steam.
The blog update also featured a new 1.0 trailer to celebrate the game's forthcoming launch:
With updates released every two weeks since Against the Storm entered early access just over a year ago, Eremite Games developers thanked the community for the support, feedback, and bug reports throughout the course of early access.
A «modest update» is coming on November 23 and promises UX improvements, balance changes and bug fixes. The 1.0 release will include the Queen's Hand Trial, a new mode intended to challenge the most experienced of players. Players tackling the Queen's Hand Trial will start from scratch and have one Cycle to reforge the Adamantine Seal. Only the most strategically minded players are expected to overcome the challenge and the threat of permadeath looms over players at every step of the way.
The developers also hosted a Q&A session on Twitch, tackling topics ranging from the game's development, favorite in-game species, or just questions to better get to know the folks behind the game.
