For the first time in Modern Warfare history, Zombies will be included. This discovery was shared by YouTuber MrDalekJD who found that "texting the Unknown Caller 'Zombies' gives you a link to a secret sound file on Activision's website". That sound file is none other than the iconic distorted growl of a COD zombie.
The mode started out as an easter egg in World at War that devs made in their spare time, assuming it would get axed before launch. However, it proved so popular internally that it was kept, and that popularity extended to fans as it became a staple game mode of all Treyarch releases. Every sequel since has upped the ante with more and more ridiculous easter eggs. Eventually, it crossed over to Sledgehammer's games with Vanguard and World War 2, and it made an appearance in Infinite and Advanced Warfare, but this marks its first appearance in a Modern Warfare game.

The number you have to text 'Zombies' to if you want to see this easter egg for yourself is +1 (202) 918-3022, but this is a US number, so it's best you don't do it if you're not local. You start by texting 'READY' via your phone or WhatsApp, consenting to "recurring automated marketing messages" while also agreeing to the terms and services. You can text 'STOP' to opt-out. Once in, send the 'Zombies' messages and you'll get the sound bite.
