Last year, a Reddit user noticed a filing at the United States Patent and Trademark Office called "The Walking Dead: Destinies", described as a "downloadable PC video game". Little else was revealed about what this Walking Dead game would entail, but a report has surfaced claiming it is an alternate history retelling of the first four seasons of the AMC show.
Dealabs Magazine claims that it's a third-person action-adventure title releasing on Xbox One, Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PS5, Steam, and Nintendo Switch, on November 14. It's also being published by Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl publisher GameMill Entertainment, known for the Cobra Kai tie-in and Nick Kart Racers.

In The Walking Dead: Destinies, you will reportedly play Rick Grimes, starting by waking up from his coma. With it spanning across the first four seasons, we'll be able to visit Atlanta, the Greene farm, the prison, and Woodbury, meaning we'll run into villains like The Governor. The alternate history aspect comes as a result of your actions, as Dealabs claims that you'll be able to control how the story unfolds, whether that's saving the villain or killing off characters who otherwise survived in the series.
Dealabs also claims to have dug out 15 characters that we'll meet throughout the game; Rick, Shane, Michonne, Daryl, Merle, Carol, Carl, Lori, Glenn, The Governor, and T-Dog. This list also confirms that it is a retelling of the show and not the comics, as Daryl, Merle, and T-Dog are original characters made for the series.
