Xbox gamers will need to go to My Games & Apps, Apps, Settings, System, Updates, and then click on Update Console. Hopefully, downloading the update means Xbox gamers no longer have to stress about their Baldur's Gate 3 saves disappearing, but it may still be best to exercise caution in case the update doesn't actually address the problem as expected.
Time will tell if the Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox problems are fixed with this new console firmware update, but in the meantime, BG3 players can still take some steps to try to avoid the issue just in case. For one, they can create a Larian account to back up their Xbox progress in the cloud. Secondly, they can make sure that whenever they quit the game, they exit to the main menu and then close it entirely, as opposed to using Xbox's Quick Resume feature.
