The third season of The Mandalorianis now underway, and Xbox is celebrating by offering up limited-edition console and controller bundles. Set a few years after Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi, The Mandalorian tells the story of Din Djarin, an armored mercenary who finds himself tasked with caring for a young alien named Grogu while avoiding the forces of the Empire and trying to honor his ancient Mandalorian creed. The Mandalorian’s third season premiere just aired on Disney+ earlier today.
So far, The Mandalorian has been an overwhelming success amid the divisive Disney Star Wars era, and there have been several video game consoles and peripherals themed after the show since it first began in 2019. Razor has sold a special-edition Mandalorian Xbox controller patterned after Din Djarin’s silver Beskar armor, and about a year before that Xbox released its own peripheral with an image of Grogu (or “Baby Yoda,” as he was named by fans before his true name was revealed partway through The Mandalorian’s second season). These accessories were rather expensive, but Xbox’s latest Mandalorian-themed hardware won’t cost fans anything at all.
