WWE 2K24 has revealed the first look at CM Punk, who is finally returning to the series through a new DLC pack this month after more than a decade away from the series.
It's been a long time, but CM Punk is officially becoming playable in a WWE game again. The last time Punk was in a WWE game was 2014's WWE 2K15, which was also officially the last year that he worked for the company. However, nearly ten years later, Punk returned to the WWE at November's Survivor Series event, which suggested he'd eventually return to the games. That time has now arrived.
CM Punk will arrive in WWE 2K24 next week on May 15 as part of the appropriately named ECW Punk Pack, which adds Punk alongside an assortment of ECW fixtures. Ahead of his official release, WWE2K's official social media account took the time to unveil both Punk's model as well as his iconic entrance.
The model shown in the video is based on Punk's appearance in the 2024 Royal Rumble, which also served as his official welcome-back match. Unfortunately, it's not based on Punk's legendary 2011 look or his original 2007 attire. Still, those attires could make their way into the game via MyFaction Persona cards in the same way that Sheamus has a 2009 model as well as his current look.
As for the entrance, it is as spot-on as it gets. Living Colour's iconic "Cult of Personality" plays out as the fan models chant "CM Punk!" over and over.
Punk will be joined by ECW luminaries Terry Funk, The Sandman and The Dudley Boyz when the DLC officially launches. Additionally, a MyFaction card of Paul Heyman in his ECW gear will also be available to players who purchase the pack. 2K also revealed their entrances over the past few days.
The Sandman comes complete with his signature kendo stick and beer can, but it still remains to be seen if he will wack himself in the head with the weapon prior to entering the ring or will enter through the crowd at an alternate arena. As for Funk, his in-game model looks as spot on as
