Months after its initial announcement, has received a new trailer at the Summer Games Fest, detailing new features, story content, and the game's final release date. The first entry in its specific series of games since in 2007 (or the PlayStation Portable-exclusive in 2010,), follows series tradition by including a wide cast of characters from all across various media, giving fans a much-requested series revival.
While games have found success, with,, and, most recently, releasing to generally positive reception, none of them have served quite the same niche as the classic series. As a result, in spite of the success of those games, a new entry specifically in the series has long been highly requested by fans of the original three games. Now, over a decade since the series' latest game, has finally received an initial release date, along with new information on characters and editions.
Revealed during Summer Game Fest 2024, here's the release date trailer for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO.
As announced in the game's newest trailer, will release on October 11, 2024, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, with a simultaneous release across all platforms and a number of pre-order bonuses. Players who pre-order the game will be able to unlock six characters early — three variants of Gogeta, and another three variants of Broly. Additionally, the pre-order bonus also includes a currently un-revealed playable character — and, since this mystery character isn't specifically included as an «early unlock», it's possible that it may be a pre-order exclusive, or else available as separate DLC.
Additionally, while it was already known that 's story will take players through the anime's most iconic story beats, like the fight against Frieza on Namek and the Cell Saga, the game's newest trailer has also revealed that it will includeextra story content devoted to what-if scenarios branching off from canon events.
