Who is the narrator in The Umbrella Academy season 3? The Netflix series is back after a nearly two year gap after season 2, which was released in July 2020. After returning to the present to find their father is alive and they have been replaced by a new team called the Sparrow Academy, the titular characters are primed to subvert yet another catastrophe they have caused in The Umbrella Academy season 3.
At the start of The Umbrella Academy season 3, a narrator retells the story of Sir Reginald Hargreeves adopting seven of the 43 children born under mysterious circumstances in 1989. Of course, the biggest change here is that they are not the Umbrella Academy at all, but the Sparrow Academy, who have unique abilities of their own. Audiences will recognize the narrator’s voice from season 1 and the start of season 2. While the narrator is never seen onscreen, he reveals valuable information that moves the story forward and brings viewers up to speed about what is happening.

Who is the voice of the mysterious narrator? The Umbrella Academy season 3 is narrated by none other than Adam Godley, who fans may recognize as the voice of Pogo, the advanced chimpanzee who was raised by Reginald and serves as his assistant. In season 3, Godley doesn’t have as much to do considering Pogo’s role in the overarching narrative is smaller than in previous seasons. Godley is not credited as the narrator on IMDb, but his voice rings clearly over the scenes in which he narrates. Choosing the actor as the voice of the narrator makes sense.
