Hargreeves was prompted by the events of The Umbrella Academy season 2 to adopt different children, hoping for a better outcome, with Ben as the only original member. The intense Sparrow Academy environment sculpted a new arrogant Ben with a bull-headed focus on becoming his team’s Number One, and this change has garnered strong reactions from fans.
