Gamescom Asia is set to kick off in Singapore this week with live panels and over 150 exhibitors.
Gamescom Asia will be hosted in Singapore from October 17 – 20, with a business and public exhibition, an industry conference, and several programmes for the public. The event expects over 150 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors.
VGC is a media partner of Gamescom Asia and will be covering the event from Singapore.
Notably, Capcom has confirmed its participation in the show’s B2C entertainment area. In addition to a variety of hands-on demos for upcoming games, Capcom will hold its official Street Fighter 6 tournament, Capcom Pro Tour 2024 Super Premier Singapore.
Various Capcom titles will also be playable, including the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds. Monster Hunter series Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto is also set to take the stage on Saturday to share more about Monster Hunter Wilds and engage with fans during the session.
Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama and Producer Shuhei Matsumoto will also be on the Main Stage on Saturday to meet and greet fans, according to organisers.
Headlining the business conference of Gamescom Asia is former PlayStation executive Shawn Layden, who will participate in a fireside chat discussing insights and predictions about the games industry.
PlayStation, Neopets, and the GCL group will also be in attendance at Gamescom Asia, with titles including JDM: Japanese Drift Master, Terratech Worlds, First Dwarf, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Korean publisher Sandy Floor will also be showcasing Great Toy Showdown, where visitors can try their hand at their soon-to-be-released shooting team battle game.
The indie area – in collaboration with Indie Wavemakers – will be Gamescom Asia’s biggest ever, according to organisers, with more than 50 titles available to play.
At the Meet & Greet area, fans will be able to meet various actors and cosplayers, including Andrew Wincott (voice of Raphael, Baldur’s Gate 3), Charess Mabia (@charechii),
