After launching early for PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS5, the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta is available for players on all platforms. It’s also off to a roaring start on Steam, peaking at 463,798 concurrent players at this time of writing.
By comparison, on Steam, Monster Hunter World peaked at 334,684 concurrent players in its lifetime, while Monster Hunter Rise reached 231,360 concurrent. The beta ends on November 3rd, 6:59 PM PT, and features hunts against Doshaguma and Chatacabra. You can also unlock a quest to face Rey Dau, the new Thunder-based Flying Wyvern.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28th, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. As a member of the Research Commission, players venture to the Forbidden Lands to investigate it and locate an expedition party that’s gone missing.
