Yellowstone Star Luke Grimes Reveals ‘Heartbreaking’ Reaction to Series Finale Script
star Luke Grimes opened up about the highly-anticipated series finale of Paramount Network‘s hit western drama, which will air on December 15, 2024. In the series, Grimes plays the role of Kayce Dutton, the youngest son of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton.
During a recent interview, Grimes admitted that he kept putting off reading the script for the series finale episode of Yellowstone until it was the time for him to do it.
“I mean, it’s the end — the end-end,” Grimes said (via TVLine). “I had no idea how the show was going to [wrap up], and I wanted to save reading that episode for the very last second.”
When it was finally time to read, Grimes revealed he had a very emotional reaction to it. He assured fans they won’t be disappointed with how the show ends.
“I was a mess,” he continued. “It’s beautiful. It’s profound. It’s heartbreaking. They [viewers] won’t feel like they’ve wasted their time for the past six years.”
