A brand-new fan poster imagines what The Crow reboot could look like with Bill Skarsgård in the black and white makeup of Eric Draven. Based on James O’Barr’s graphic novel, The Crow tells the supernatural story of Draven, a musician who is murdered along with his fiancée and comes back to life to seek revenge against those responsible. The comic book was first adapted for the screen in 1994 by director Alex Proyas and starred Brandon Lee, who tragically died on set. The Crow was a critical and commercial success, and spawned three sequels and a television show, which never quite lived up to the original film.
For several years, filmmakers have attempted to capitalize on its cult following and bring a new version of The Crow to the silver screen. In 2008, Stephen Norrington (Blade) revealed plans to write and direct an adaptation before The Crow was handed off to Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) and Corin Hardy (The Nun). The project continued to endure a revolving door of creatives in the years that followed with talent like Mark Wahlberg, Bradley Cooper, Channing Tatum, Ryan Gosling, Luke Evans, Tom Hiddleston, and Jason Momoa attached to star. Days ago, it was announced that The Crow reboot is officially moving forward with Skarsgård set to star and Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman, Ghost in the Shell) directing a script written by Zach Baylin (King Richard).
