The Lost City star Channing Tatum has recently joked that he owes Kristen Bell's husband, Dax Shepard, an apology for her initial reaction to Magic Mike. Released in theaters back in 201, Magic Mike follows a group of male strippers living in Florida.
Warner Bros.' Magic Mike was directed by Ocean's Elevens’ Steven Soderbergh, and it is actually roughly based on Tatum's personal experience as a male stripper. Magic Mike effortlessly garnered massive success with audiences. Therefore, the possibility of a sequel was almost a no-brainer to fans. The highly-anticipated sequel, Magic Mike XXL, hit theaters back in 2015, this time around with director George Jacobs at the helm. Due to how popular the Magic Mike series quickly became, Tatum decided to produce a live show based on the original movies, Magic Mike Live. The show is presented as a 360 degree entertainment event and is based on the famous dance sequences from the films.

Right now, there are productions of Magic Mike Live running and for sale in Las Vegas and London. Last February, Bell went on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show and shared that she had attended a Magic Mike Live show while she was in London. Bell described the show as “electric.” She also joked that watching it was very comparable to how she felt when getting married to her husband.
Tatum recently made his own appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote The Lost City, and he couldn’t help but bring Bell's comments up. “I owe her a phone call, and just a thank you because that was like the most sweetest thing," Tatum said. «I know Dax really well, so I probably have to apologize for Dax. Yeah, sorry Dax.”
