Based on the true story of the Williams family, King Richard follows their journey to manifest Richard Williams’ (Will Smith) 78-page plan for his two daughters, Venus (Saniyya Sidney) and Serena (Demi Singleton), into reality. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and written by Zach Baylin, the biographical sports drama has garnered multiple film nominations and wins, including earning six nominations at the recent 94th Academy Awards.
Serena Williams is no stranger to showing her adoration and interest for the comic book universe while having her own digital comic from DirectTV. Last year, she sported the limited and luxury watch from the Marvel collaboration with Audemars Piguet, dedicated to the late Chadwick Boseman’s portrayal of Black Panther. The renowned tennis player was also featured in an ad for the same multichannel video programming distributor, recreating the mall scene from Wonder Woman 1984.

As a Marvel enthusiast and fan, Serena confesses to the journalist that she would love to endeavor into a Williamsverse, similar to the MCU franchise. Although the film had created the perfect ending, Serena says that there is more to tell to their story, alluding to the possibility of multiple sequels, as both the sisters have followed a completely separate direction.
