In Cliff Chiang's latest issue of Catwoman: Lonely City, one of Batman's greatest villains has met his end in the most satisfying way possible. Fans widely consider Batman's villains, like Joker, Bane, and Catwoman, the greatest in the entire superhero genre. Most of them have better origin stories than most heroes, and their characters also reveal a lot about the Dark Knight himself.
Cliff Chiang's epic Catwoman solo series takes place in a dystopian Gotham City after Batman meets his end on the mysterious Fool's Night. Bruce's final mission leads Selina to dawn her Catwoman suit ten years into the future. When Selina is back in town, she discovers the reformed Two-Face has been elected mayor. Vigilantes and criminals have slowly disappeared from Gotham, especially after the deaths of Batman, Nightwing, Alfred, and Commissioner Gordon. A few former rogues follow Catwoman down a path of rebellion to figure out Harvey Dent's true intentions.

Although he's one of the most powerful Batman villains, it's not often that people say Killer Croc is the Dark Knight's greatest rogue. However, his neglected origins make him just as tragic a figure as Clayface or Mr. Freeze.
