Nearly six months after its infamous entry into the iconic series, Battlefield 2042 has finally launched its first season. However, when the title was launched last year, it was presented in an unfinished, unplayable state that was riddled with bugs. The title has faced massive backlash from the fanbase, with active player counts falling below 1000 within a few months. The future seasons were delayed as Dice scrambled to fix the issues.
Now, after nearly six months, Dice has finally launched Season 1. This and three other seasons were announced and sold before the game's launch as part of higher edition bundles.

The full Battlefield 2042 Season 1 reveal will take place on June 7 at 8 AM PDT/5 PM CEST. This will be followed by a recap of Battlefield 2042's Season 1 later in the week.
The developers have scheduled the next Battlefield 2042 Update for early July. The update will focus on bug fixes and refinements and is expected to be a smaller update overall.
