Serena Williams reveals that she wants to make sequels to King Richard that will focus more on her and Venus. King Richard follows Richard Williams (played by Will Smith) as the father and coach of young Venus and Serena Williams (played by Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton respectively), and their pursuit to become two of the best tennis players in the world. The film also dives into the efforts of Richard and his wife, Brandy, to make sure that their daughters don't face burnout by engaging in a professional tennis career too quickly. The ending of the film shows Venus' first professional tennis match against opponent Arantxa Sánchez Vicario. Although Venus loses the match, the film ends with several shoe sponsors wanting to meet with Venus and an epilogue that describes the eventual success that both Venus and Serena will go on to have as professional tennis players.
