The only way to catch the mysterious Ultra Beasts, these anomalies can occasionally appear in a certain way on the map. However, once it's known how and why they appear, finding some of the more elusive Pocket Monsters in the Raid Boss schedule will be a lot easier. Fans of the games will definitely recognize Ultra Wormholes and their significance. Those who don't will have their knowledge of lore expand a bit.
Ultra Wormholes are portals in that connect to Ultra Space, allowing Ultra Beasts to come into the game's world. This follows the same theme as they originally did in, originally discovered by Professor Mohn. In specifically, Ultra Wormholes pop up over Gyms during certain events like Raid Hours.
By being aware of the 11 different types of Pokémon that can be a Ditto in disguise, you give yourself the best chance of catching one in Pokémon GO.
Instead of a large Egg appearing over a Gym like normal, a cone-like dimensional gate will pop up instead. If players are after their favorite of 's Ultra Beasts to add to their Pokédex, this is the only way to get them. Any Ultra Beast faced this way is a 5-Star Raid boss, so it's wise to never approach one of these portals alone.
For the best chance of beating an Ultra Beast, a Raid party is needed of at least three to five players. The larger the party, the better.
All 11 Ultra Beasts are now in, and can be found through Ultra Wormholes, from Nihilego and Pheromosa as part of the first wave added all the way to Stakataka and Naganadel.
