A new piece of fan art imagines what a young Qui-Gon Jinn will look like in the upcoming Star Wars anthology series, Tales of the Jedi. Following its acquisition of Lucasfilm and the subsequent sequel trilogy, Disney has expanded on the Skywalker Saga by bringing back several animated and live-action Star Wars characters. The epicenter of this expansion is on Disney+ via shows like The Mandalorian, The Clone Wars, Rebels, The Bad Batch, The Book of Boba Fett, Visions, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and Ahsoka.
Much of this new era has been spearheaded by Lucasfilm’s executive creative director, Dave Filoni, who reportedly wrote another series while working on The Mandalorian. At Star Wars Celebration 2022, Filoni announced Tales of the Jedi, an animated anthology series centering on Ahsoka Tano, Count Dooku, and those in their orbit, such as Mace Windu and Qui-Gon Jinn. Liam Neeson will return toStar Wars to voice the latter Jedi alongside his son, who will voice a young Qui-Gon.
