This makes sense given how much Disney wants to leverage its streaming service for popular brands like Marvel and Star Wars, and given that Kestis is identical to Cameron Monaghan (his actor), it would be an easy transition too.
Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 Review
This rumor comes way of YouTuber and Star Wars insider Kristian Harloff, who says he’s heard that Cameron Monaghan has signed on to reprise the role of Cal Kestis in a Disney Plus Show. He also adds that no production dates have been revealed quite yet, but that it is happening according to someone he’s trusted before.
It should be noted that he wasn’t able to get further confirmation, so fans should take this rumor with a grain of salt. But with the popularity of The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and other Disney Plus shows, it’s a logical extension from having Cameron play Cal in a game to having him appear in a live-action show. In fact, many believed that Cal Kestis was going to appear in Obi-Wan Kenobi, and while this did not come to pass, it shows already how receptive fans are to a live-action Cal.
