A new piece of Star Wars fan art imagines Cameron Monaghan’s Cal Kestis from Jedi: Fallen Order getting his own live-action Disney+ series. Released in 2019, Fallen Order is a single-player action game set in the Star Wars universe developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. Set five years after the events of Order 66, the game centers on the character of Cal Kestis, a former Jedi Padawan who survived the initial Jedi purge and had his motion-capture performance recorded by Shameless and Gotham’s Monaghan. A sequel to the game, Jedi: Survivor is also currently in development.
Whispers of Monaghan’s Cal Kestis possibly making his way into the live-action Star Wars universe have been making the rounds almost as soon as the original game hit shelves. They were intensified earlier this year when a BD unit, similar to Kestis’ droid BD-1 in the game, made its own live-action debut in The Book of Boba Fett. With the recent release of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which featured many similar live-action elements from the game including the appearance of Fortress Inquisitorius, calls for his move across from the gaming world into live-action canon have only been heightened. Unsubstantiated rumors of Monaghan getting his own streaming show on Disney+ have also spread like wildfire throughout the fandom of late.

Recently, fan artist Jason Benullo Design has taken to Instagram to share his own vision for what a teaser poster for a Cal Kestis series could possibly look like. Featuring Monaghan in his costume from Fallen Order, the fan poster also includes the droid BD-1 and a Jedi Holocron. Check out the original post below:
