In addition to the impressive DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction implementation within Cyberpunk 2077, NVIDIA also gave us a chance to try out its new Ramen Shop tech demo based on Unreal Engine 5 and it was just spectacular.
If you didn't know it already, Unreal Engine 5 has added support for DLSS 3.5 which means that game developers can take advantage of various features such as AI Super Sampling, Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction within their Unreal Engine 5 applications. This allows them to give a visual and performance advantage over the native output.
To demonstrate this aspect of its technology, NVIDIA has rolled out a new Ramen Shop tech demo which makes use of various ray-traced effects such as RTX Direct Illumination, Lumen Global Illumination, Lumen Reflections, and DLSS 3.5's Ray Reconstruction technology. The tech demo is outfitted with cinematic quality 8K textures and features higher sampling rates for hardware ray-traced Global Illumination. In terms of visual quality, the whole tech demo looks photo-realistic & incredible.
Also a fun fact, this demo is based on a previous version that was used to demonstrate NVIDIA's Omniverse over a year ago.

The demo weighs in around 10 GB and the best part is that it comes with a menu through which you can toggle various aspects such as Frame Generation, Super Resolution modes, and the Ray Reconstruction technology. We dished out our NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition GPU to test it within the tech demo and were blown away by what we saw.
