The Galaxy Unpacked event is happening on February 9 and Samsung has already teased the Galaxy S22 series being the hero of the event. The February event will take the wraps off the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is expected to bring Galaxy Note series features this time. Samsung does not reveal all of the announcement yet.
“Join us on February 9 2022 for the next Galaxy Unpacked as we set an epic new standard for smartphones with the most noteworthy S series ever created. Check out the event live on Samsung’s YouTube channel starting at 8.30 PM,” says Samsung. The event will be livestreamed via YouTube and Samsung’s other social media channels.
Samsung’s teaser shows the number “22” in a bronze shade that was last seen on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra last in 2020. There’s hint of the S Pen as well.
However, another teaser video hints at superior low light photography, saying “Break the rules of light”. Rumours have suggested that Samsung won’t be upgrading the camera hardware from the Galaxy S21 Ultra. It seems that Samsung could have some neat software tricks up its sleeves.
Previous leaks have so far suggested the Galaxy S22 Ultra to borrow the design from the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Unlike last year’s solution where the S Pen had to be carried separately, the S22 Ultra is said to have an S Pen silo within the body. Leaks have show a similar boxy design with subtle curved edges on the display.
Alongside the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus at the event. These vanilla S22 models aren’t expected to be a major departure from the S21 series.
