Peacock has released the full official trailer for its upcoming limited series Joe vs. Carole, starring Kate McKinnon and John Cameron Mitchell. The series comes off the heels of the highly-acclaimed Netflix original Tiger King, drawing its character inspiration from the stories in the documentary
Based on the Wondery podcast Joe Exotic: Tiger King hosted by Robert Moor, Joe vs. Carolecenters around known big-cat enthusiast Carole Baskin. She learns that fellow exotic animal lover Joe Exotic is breeding his cats for profitable gain, prompting her to stop his dealings. In doing so, however, Baskin creates a bitterly heated rivalry between herself and Joe, which exacerbates once Joe digs into her troubled past. The hypocrisy Joe sees in Baskin motivates his aggressiveness, creating an intense back and forth between two infamous characters.

As things continue, audiences obtain insight into the madness that ensues from a hired killer to explosives and police raids. «It's war,» states Carole Baskin in the footage, and from what audiences already know about these characters, it's sure to be a hysterical ride.
A similar Tiger King project looked to be arriving from Amazon, starring Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage as the quirky Joe Exotic, but the project sits on the studio's shelves for the time being.
