In lieu of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Battlefield 2042 developers have disabled the game's Weekly Mission that rewards players with a skin for a Russian attack helicopter. The decision was announced via the Battlefield Direct Communications Twitter handle that relays information and updates regarding the game.
"In light of current events we have disabled the Weekly Missions system for this week, and this weeks reward is no longer available to unlock," said the tweet. "Players who have already completed this weeks mission will not be affected. Weekly Missions will return next week."

As pointed out by PC Gamer, the Battlefield Wiki states that the Mi-240 Super Hind found in the game is an evolution of the real-life Mi-24 attack helicopter used by Russian armed forces. The reward for the now disabled Weekly Mission was a skin called The Grin Reaper – it looks like the shark-toothed grin decal you may have seen on the nose of aircrafts in various movies and games.
This means that players who had not yet achieved the reward will lose their progress, but the decision was mostly well met by players who understood the reason for it. When asked if the skin would return at a later date, EA Lead Community Manager Adam Freeman replied, "Not a decision that we've made just yet, but something we will discuss. When weekly missions resume next week, it will be with a different challenge and reward."
