Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy 22+ have been launched as part of its larger Galaxy series roll out today. In the live Galaxy Unpacked event, which was streamed on YouTube and other social media channels, the company announced that Samsung Galaxy S22 will be priced at $799 (roughly Rs. 59,900) and Samsung Galaxy S22+ will be available at $999 (roughly Rs. 89,700) . Both the smartphones will also come equipped with Samsung’s trademark S pens. Samsung Galaxy S22 features a 6.1-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120 Hz refresh rate. It also has a vision booster technology which enhances the quality of images and videos viewed in the smartphone. The smartphone weighs 168 grams. Under the hood, it has a 4 nanometer 64-bit Octa-core processor, Samsung’s fastest yet.
It sports a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary lens, a 12MP ultra wide lens and a 10MP telephoto lens. On the front, it has a 10MP selfie camera. The smartphone will be available in two variants - 8 + 128 GB and 8 + 256 GB.
Samsung Galaxy S22 is equipped with a 3,700 mAh battery with up to 25W fast charge support with a wired charger and up to 15W wireless charge support.
Details about the pricing of Galaxy S22 in India are yet to be revealed by the company.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S22 series smartphones will be available from February 25.
