This season saw major changes for the Brown family, as they were largely separated from each other during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kody and his third wife Christine Brown ended their relationship after years of marital problems, and many fans think that Meri will be next to go. Before her segment at the reunion, Meri shared some cryptic Instagram stories that left fans wondering where she stands with Kody, and whether she will continue the show.
Sister Wives season 16 saw the large Brown family at odds over how to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Kody and his fourth wife Robyn felt that there needed to be more isolation, whereas Christine and Janelle Brown saw each other more regularly, and went out sometimes. The pandemic hit this family especially hard because many of the kids from the different wives were unable to see their siblings and had to practice social distancing.
