Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio finally launches in India! The Surface Laptop Studio has been around in global markets for a while and it now comes to India after the recent launches of the Surface Pro X, Surface Pro 7 and Surface Pro 8 convertibles. The party trick of the Surface Laptop Studio is its unique display hinge that allows it to pop-out like a tablet when there’s no need for the keyboard.
As with all Surface devices, the Surface Laptop Studio comes in both commercial and Consumer flavours. For consumers, the Surface Laptop Studio starts at Rs. 1,65,999 for the base variant with an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. The other variant with an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM and a 512GB storage comes in at a price of Rs. 2,15,999. Commercial customers can opt for up to 2TB storage and 32GB RAM, with prices going up to Rs. 3,43,999.
Note that pre-orders start today and the device will go on sale from March 8.
The Surface Laptop Studio’s party piece is its unique hinge that allows the display to be used in multiple modes. In laptop mode, you can have the 14.4-inch PixelSense 120Hz touchscreen display make space for the full-size keyboard and a trackpad with haptic feedback. The Stage mode allows the display to be pulled forward at an angle, covering the keyboard, and thereby making it suitable for gaming, streaming, presentations and more. This mode also allows you to use the Slim Pen 2 as a stylus device.
In Studio mode, the display sits flat above the keyboard and trackpad, thereby allowing for use like a tablet. This will be useful while drawing, sketching, and taking notes.
