Those who have a valid Aadhaar number and a registered mobile number linked to the Aadhaar can avail the e-PAN. It must be noted that only they can apply for e-PAN who don’t have a physical PAN card. As per provisions of Section 272B of the Income Tax Act., 1961, a penalty of Rs. 10,000 can be levied on possession of more than one PAN.
