Raised by Wolves creator and showrunner Aaron Guzikowski says that there is a grand plan for the series' full story. The sci-fi show is set to kick off its second season on HBO Max this week, which continues the saga of humans and androids populating a new planet after leaving a war-ravaged Earth. The primary focus of Raised by Wolves is on the androids Mother (Amanda Collin) and Father (Abubakar Salim), who are tasked with raising newborn humans on the planet Kepler-22b after Earth is left a wasteland following a religious war between the Mithraic and Atheist populations there. However, things are not quite what they seem on Kepler-22b, with more questions and mysteries presenting themselves upon the new population of androids and humans.
In addition to Collin and Salim, Raised by Wolves stars Travis Fimmel, Niamh Algar, Winta McGrath, Felix Jamieson, Jordan Loughran, Ethan Hazzard, and Matias Varela. The new season also has new cast additions with Kim Engelbrecht, Selina Jones, James Harkness, Morgan Santo, Peter Christoffersen, and Jennifer Saayeng. Raised by Wolves is executive produced by Ridley Scott, who directed the first two episodes of season one and continues to serve as EP for season two. Other directors have included Luke Scott, Alex Gabassi, and, Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, with seasoned director Ernest Dickerson helming a number of episodes for the new season.
