Galaxy S22 series and Tab S8 have gone up pre-reserve in India! After a global launch last evening, Samsung India has now begun taking pre-reserve for the Galaxy S22 series smartphones and Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets. There is a pre-reserve amount that buyers have to submit in order to reserve their Galaxy flagship when the first stocks hit the Indian market. Samsung is also offering a freebie as a gift for those reserving these phones or tablets.
Samsung says that customers can “pre-reserve the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8 series in India by paying the amount of Rs. 1,999.” In order to reserve the Galaxy S22 series and Tab S8 series, one can do it via the Galaxy S22 Pre-reserve VIP Pass and the Galaxy Tab S8 Series via the Galaxy Tab S8 Pre-reserve VIP Pass.
Those who pre-reserve any of these new products will get the Galaxy Smart Tag worth Rs. 2,699 for free. The pre-reservation can be done on Samsung India’s e-Store and the Samsung Shop App.
Samsung India is yet to announce the prices for the Galaxy S22 series. In the US, the Galaxy S22 starts at $799 while the Galaxy S22 Plus starts at $999. The Galaxy S22 Ultra costs $1,199 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Based on the US pricing, it seems that the Galaxy S22 Plus will take on Apple iPhone 13 in India while the Galaxy S22 could end up taking on the iPhone 13 Mini. Samsung is offering some notable upgrades this year over the outgoing Galaxy S21 series, with prominent ones being with its cameras and design. Samsung has also promised four Android OS upgrades over the phone’s lifecycle and security patch support of up to five years.
