(Updated) How the Devour Affix Works on the War Within Beta - Afflicted 2.0?
Here's how the Xal'atath's Bargain: Devour affix works on the War Within Beta and it's similar to the Afflicted affix.
Xal'atath's Bargain: Devour is the 4th Xal'atath affix and plays a lot like the removed Afflicted affix. Periodically, Xal'atath will cast Void Rift on all players.
- Applies a 75%53% health absorb shield to all players. This doesn't appear to scale with key level.
- Deals 2% max health every second.
- Can be dispelled by any dispel type: Poison, Curse, Disease or Magic
- Lasts 15 seconds — if times out heals all enemies for 2510% max health
If the healing absorb is healed off, or the effect is dispelled, all players will gain a stack of Lingering Void — with all 5 stacks it'll grant 10% health and 20% crit. If the effect remains on any players after 15 seconds, all enemies gain a stack of Mending Void healing them for 2510% max health. This is super punishing so it's super important to heal or dispel this off! Just like Afflicted week, you'll want extra dispellers to make sure that the mobs don't heal.
Mass Dispel is a great tool for clearing a full wave instantly! Poison Cleansing Totem does a great job as well!
Right now, it's important to note that Void Rift is not tracked by logs. Hopefully this will be fixed before launch!
