Uncharted 2: Among Thieves director Bruce Straley, ever the firebrand, sees some striking similarities between a train sequence in Tom Cruise's latest attempt to go out in a blaze of cinematic glory (Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning) and that iconic scene from Nathan Drake's ill-advised Himalayan holiday.
To be fair to Straley, we immediately thought the same thing upon seeing the scene. But then again, it's not like Uncharted 2 has a monopoly on heroic, unforgettable action scenes on trains, either. There could also be a few Uncharted fans over in the Mission: Impossible camp, and perhaps this is just a cinematic tip of the cap. As the old saying goes, imitation is:
