Ubisoft Makes Big Appointment For Far Cry Brand
When it comes to certain developers/publishers, they know that they need to not only keep creating fresh ideas but also keep the franchises that are the most popular alive. By that, we mean not only cranking out new entries when possible but ensuring they are quality and do as well as previous titles. Ubisoft has a few franchises they can count on to get attention for them, one being Far Cry. To that end, Ubisoft has revealed that they have promoted Sandra Warren to the role of Vice President of the brand, a true honor.
As noted by VGC, Ubisoft is very happy with Warren and her work and feels that she’ll be a perfect fit for future oversight of the brand:
“With her proven industry experience and respected position within the organization, she will collaborate with the team responsible for brand portfolio management, the editorial department, and the international production team.”
Ubisoft Montreal GM Christophe Derennes added: “Sandra is an exemplary leader who seamlessly combines her experience in video game production with a global perspective on the brand. Her profound understanding of the studio dynamics and her innate ability to foster collaborative relationships make her an asset to the team. We invite the community to join us in congratulating her and wishing her the best in this new role.”
Her promotion is the second major upgrade within this brand in recent times. A writer for one of the past games, Drew Holmes, was elevated to IP Director, which will allow him to map out the franchise’s future in a writing sense.
Just to be clear, Warren will have the highest-ranking role in the brand.
