Invincible is a TV show/comic book series that seems ripe for a video game adaptation of some kind. In late 2022, Skybound Entertainment revealed that there are Invincible video games in the works, although it remained extremely tight-lipped about what those projects were. Fast forward nine months, and Skybound has officially announced one of these promised video games, but any excitement that could have been built up has been firmly dampened by the reveal that it's actually a mobile game.
Invincible: Guarding the Globe was announced by Skybound earlier today, a free-to-play idle squad-based RPG being developed by Ubisoft Barcelona Mobile. For those of you who don't know what that entails, the game will essentially have you assemble a line-up of heroes which you then send out on automated battles that run in the background while you do other stuff. You don't participate in the fight, rather you set up your squad with the best chance of victory and then watch things play out.

The game does have some things going for it though, some that the die hard Invincible fans among you may be interested in. For starters, the game includes a completely brand new storyline that hasn't been seen before in either the comics or Amazon's ongoing TV show. You'll meet familiar characters from the Invincible universe as you work together to unravel the mystery of a clone army with Cecil Stedman, the head of the GDA.
