CHARTS: Remnant 2 pre-orders were last week's second bigger Steam seller

Pre-orders for the upcoming Remnant 2 were the second biggest game by revenue on Steam last week.

The action RPG actually launches today (July 25th) and has been developed by Gunfire Games with Gearbox acting as publisher. The previous entry in series – Remnant: From the Ashes – launched in 2019 to positive reviews. 

First place once again goes to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, while Baldur's Gate 3 hangs steady in third place ahead of its 1.0 release on August 3rd. The game initially made its debut in Early Access in October 2020.

EA's sci-fi free-to-play battle royale hit Apex Legends rose four places to the No.4 spot week-on-week, possibly due to hype surrounding the upcoming Season 18. Fellow battle royale romp Naraka: Bladepoint returns to the Top Ten in fifth – rising 14 places week-on-week – thanks to the game moving to a free-to-play model earlier in July.

Indie shooter BattleBit Remastered has dropped three places to sixth, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 rose two positions to No.7. The Steam Deck has dropped six places to No.8 thanks to the hardware being out of stock at the moment.

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 rose three places to return to the Steam Top Ten in ninth place following a price cut on Steam, while PUBG: Battlegrounds drops four places to round off the charts this week.
