Brooklyn 99's Stephanie Beatriz is joining the cast of the upcoming Twisted Metal live-action television adaptation.
Peacock's comedy show, based on the popular PlayStation video game series of the same name, is being brought to life by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, with Michael Jonathan Smith serving as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
Replicating the demolition derby scenario of the games, it will follow John Doe, an outsider offered a chance at a better life.
But to attain it, he must get a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Anthony Mackie was previously cast as John Doe and will also produce the highly anticipated series.
