The cast for the upcoming series has just gotten its second starring actor. Stephanie Beatriz, most known for her role as Rosa Diaz in, is set to join the show based on the video game franchise.
Beatriz is playing a character named Quiet who is a “ferocious, badass car thief who acts purely on instinct.” Her description also says that she came from a community that “oppressed her into silence,” but it is yet to be seen (or heard, rather) how much she will talk in the show. Regardless, she forms an “unlikely, antagonistic bond” with Anthony Mackie’s John Doe as she tries to find her place in the world.
Like John Doe, Quiet is a new creation for the action comedy series coming to Peacock at some undetermined point in the future. It based on a concept from writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who will executive produce. It will be written by scribe Michael Jonathan Smith, who will also serve as an EP. Other executive producers include PlayStation Studios’ Hermen Hulst, Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions, Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire, Electric Avenue’s Will Arnett and Marc Forman, and Peter Principato of Artists First. ‘s Kitao Sakurai is also set to executive produce and direct a few episodes.
Sony is also reported developing a game, which is probably being positioned to come out around the same time as the show. After reportedly being shuffled around a bit, the title in question is said to be coming from Firesprite, which Sony recently acquired in September 2021. However, it has yet to be formally announced.
