The Pokemon franchise has no shortage of spooky Pokemon for fans to catch and train. Just a couple of examples of creepy pocket monsters include the Pokemon in the Gastly evolution line and Trevenant, a haunted-looking tree-like Pokemon. While Halloween is still a long way off, that did not stop one fan from giving Ivysaur a new spooky design.
As one of the first Pokemon seen in the series, Ivysaur is part of the original Gen 1 Pokedex. It is a Grass/Poison-type Pokemon that evolves from the starter known as Bulbasaur. Ivysaur has become well-known among gamers due to its frequent appearances in video games and other media. While its regular appearance is instantly recognizable to many fans, few would call it spooky or creepy. However, that did not stop one talented gamer from attempting to give the pocket monster a Halloween-inspired redesign.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as Pbrd7 shared a video of a 3D-printed figure they had created based on the Pokemon series. Specifically, the Reddit user decided to give Ivysaur a new look, and the results were impressive, to say the least. In the clip, the creator rotated the camera around the design, revealing that they had given Ivysaur a Halloween theme.
Impressively, Pbrd7 had decided to replace the large plant bulb on the back of the Grass/Poison-type Pokemon with a Jackolantern. In addition, they painted the Ivysaur black and gave it gray spots. Of particular note was the gray mark between the Pokemon’s eyes designed to look like a skull. Furthermore, the leaves on its back were given a Halloween flavor, and the pumpkin featured a candle that lit up.
