Will Arnett was already involved with the series coming to Peacock since he is one of its executive producers. However, he’s now adding on another role as the and actor has been cast as the iconic clown known as Sweet Tooth.
Sweet Tooth is the face of the franchise, often showing up in key art or box art for the many games. The show describes him as a “hilarious and terrifying hulk of a man, who is as emotional as he is cunning” and loves chaos. He also uses “Lost Vegas” as his “own personal kill-ground, all while he drives his infamous doomsday ice cream truck.”
This isn’t the only time Arnett has crossed paths with the video game realm. He starred in 2009’s mediocrely received shooter and was recently the villain in named Dragon Lord. Arnett also reprised his role as Lego Batman in 2015’s .
The show is based on a concept from writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who will executive produce. It will be written by scribe Michael Jonathan Smith, who will also serve as an EP. Other executive producers include PlayStation Studios’ Hermen Hulst, Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions, Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire, Electric Avenue’s Will Arnett and Marc Forman, and Peter Principato of Artists First. ‘s Kitao Sakurai is also set to executive produce and direct a few episodes.
Sony is also allegedly creating another game and it is likely being positioned to come out around the same time as the Peacock series. After reportedly changing developers, the game is said to be coming from Firesprite, a studio Sony recently acquired in September 2021. However, this game has yet to be formally revealed.
