The heroes of Trine have returned for Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy. Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight are back for a new installment that promises our three Heroes their most action-packed journey yet.
As a pair of troublesome nobles attempt to cause chaos with their army of clockwork soldiers, it's up to this intrepid trio to thwart them using an array of new skills. Trine 5 promises more puzzles than ever, but it's up to you to decide how you want to solve them. You won't be corralled into single solutions - instead, you'll be able to use a full arsenal of tools however you want, and whatever combination of heroes you want to play as.
That's thanks to Trine 5's online and local co-op, which allows between one and three friends to drop in or drop out of the action at any time, regardless of platform. Once they're in, your party can decide whether to venture forth as a variety of Heroes or opt for a more simple roster - all-Wizard run, anyone?
If you'd prefer to play solo, that's an option too, with the same complexity of puzzles, whimsical world, and beautiful, detailed 2.5D backgrounds that bring the world of Trine to life, no matter how you choose to play. While the Trine series' fifth installment comes more than a decade after the Heroes' first outing, don't worry if you're a newcomer to the series; you'll be able to dive straight in without missing out, and enjoy everything that world of Trine has to offer.
