Developer Jupiter has reportedly revealed Picross S+.

Nine puzzle games from the Nintendo 3DS eShop will reportedly not be lost to time and the closed digital storefront after all. Developer Jupiter is apparently reviving the full Picross e series on Switch in a game called Picross S+.
Nintendo Life reports that Jupiter will launch Picross S+ for $5 sometime next year, featuring all of the puzzles from the original Picross e. Then, the rest of the Picross e lineup will become available as standalone add-ons for $5 each. What's especially cool about this development is that Picross e9 never came out in Europe or North America. So Picross S+ should be the first time those puzzles are playable outside Japan.
The 3DS and Wii U eShops shut down for good earlier this year in March. Nintendo originally announced they were closing back in February 2022, so players had a year to figure out what games to buy. The Picross e series--which started in 2011 and ended in 2018 on 3DS--was thought to be lost to the handheld eShop forever.
Jupiter also has the Picross S series that began in 2017 on Switch. The latest installment was Picross S9, which launched in April worldwide.
Once again, Picross S+ is planned to release sometime in 2024.
