Time Rifts have introduced several new mounts. Two of these mounts, the White War Wolf and Black Gryphon, are faction-specific — but with special gift items, players can receive these mounts as a present from members of the opposite faction! Time Rifts Event Overview and Rewards

Time Rifts see us visiting several different alternative timelines where things have gone dramatically differently. In The Warlands, the Alliance and Horde have never found even moments of peace, and their Faction War is tearing their version of Azeroth apart. Two of the mounts associated with this timeline are faction-specific — the Black Gryphon for the Alliance, and the White War Wolf for the Horde. As with other Time Rift rewards, these can drop from closing Time Rifts or be bought from vendors, with Alliance players only able to earn the Reins of the Ravenous Black Gryphon, and Horde players only able to obtain the Horn of the White War Wolf. Unlike many other faction-specific mounts, learning one does not teach the other. However, characters of both factions can use either mount once learned. One thing that makes these mounts extra fun is the fact that players can choose to present their faction's mount to a member of the opposite faction with a gift! Specifically, the Gift of the White War Wolf that can drop for Horde players, and the Gift of the Ravenous Black Gryphon that can drop for Alliance. To use this item, select any member of the opposite faction and use it. If they already have the mount, you'll get a notification telling you.
