Kemco has announced an incredible new RPG bundle in partnership with Microsoft.
To commemorate publishing a record 50 RPGs on the Xbox store, Microsoft and Kemco have launched a Kemco: 50 RPGs Celebratory Bundle.
While nowhere near as famous as the likes of Capcom or Konami, Kemco is one of those venerable older Japanese game studios that was there when the video games industry exploded with the Family Computer. Founded in 1984 as the video game production arm of Kotobuki System, Kemco started out with a port of the Commodore 64 game Dough Boy on Nintendo’s venerable console.
Kemco would stick around for the Super NES, Genesis, and Nintendo 64. However, by the 6th generation of consoles, Kemco would shift gears to mobile games. It would then return to console games in the 2010s, which is how they managed to publish enough games to make this bundle even possible.
Kemco’s 40 year anniversary actually won’t be until next year, but we can consider this an early celebration of that event. As reported by Video Games Chronicle, the bundle sells for $ 200, but the actual value of the 50 games in it adds up to $ 750. This is a discount of approximately 73 % for all the games in the bundle.
These are the games found in the bundle:
The bundle will be available starting today, August 3, 2023, to September 21, 2023. If you’re curious to hear more from Kemco about this bundle, Xbox Wire has an interview on hand with Kemco’s Managing Director Masaomi Kurokawa and International Manager Matteo Conti. They talk about the company, and some of the games found in the bundle.
