Mobile ARPG Torchlight: Infinite has launched its newest free season of content, “Twinightmare.” The third season introduces a new playable Hero, a new block of content with a major Season Boss to take on, and a new item upgrade system for the event.
The new playable Hero, Rosa, is a highly mobile tank-like character with a light-themed paladin slant. Players can use the “High Court Chariot” abilities to plow through and into enemies and pull them in for whopping attacks, with increased damage based on her Block Chance.
In this season’s new game mode, players utilize Dream Lotuses to wander through a roguelike maze of “dreams” and collect powerful items and level-ups. Occasionally, they’ll enter a “Nightmare,” with dangerous bosses spawning that correspond with the items they collect along the way. Progress in this area will be stored separately, allowing players to keep track. Twinlight: Infinite also teases the major boss Queen Of Eternal Sun, encountered through this dream-wandering.
The Dream Interpretation is another new system available for players through the Twinightmare DLC. This crafting system allows players to add Affixes to certain items, giving them both positive and a mandatory negative “Nightmare” boosts. After a certain point in progression, an upgraded version of this crafting system becomes available as well.
On top of these, via their patch notes , there are plenty of balance adjustments—and new items and loot as well, as any ARPG would deliver. The Twinightmare DLC content is accessible by creating a new character, then opting into the Twinightmare season. Torchlight: Infinite itself is free to play on mobile, with payable upgrades.
