The multiplayer hit The Finals is still receiving new content, this time in the form of an update and a new gameplay mode.
You can expect plenty from the new update as well as, for the first time, a limited-time game mode. In this mode, called Solo Bank It, you compete in a 12-player PvP on a quest to obtain a total of 40,000 Cash wins. Sound like your kind of thing?
The game mode comes alongside update 1.5.0 which features several improvements to make life easier for players. Perhaps most importantly, you get a security update to improve “anti-cheat and fair play.” While this is beneficial, it should be noted that Easy Anti-Cheat is the reason why the game can’t be played on the Steam Deck.
Update 1.5.0 also brings a store update, balance changes, and bug fixes, which you see more of in the trailer below.
The Finals hit the world stage with a surprise drop at The Game Awards. SteamDB reveals that while the game has had its highs and lows, it maintains popularity with an all-time peak of 242,619 concurrent players in December 2023.
