Toni Collette Has A Dark & Mysterious Past in Pieces of Her Trailer
Netflix unveils the official Pieces of Her trailer showing the thriller series starring Toni Collette that's set to premiere in March. Based on Karin Slaughter's 2018 novel of the same name, the story centers on Andrea and her mother Laura as they are caught in the middle of a mass shooting at a local diner, where the latter easily takes out the threat. Andrea subsequently begins to learn the truth behind her mom and her past when they go on the run from people from Laura's shady past.
Alongside Collette, the cast for Pieces of Her includes Bella Heathcote, David Wenham, Jessica Barden, Joe Dempsie, Jacob Scipio, Omari Hardwick, Gil Birmingham, Terry O'Quinn and Calum Worthy. Development on the series was first announced in early 2019 as Netflix picked up the rights to the thriller novel for an eight-episode first season with Charlotte Stoudt attached as creator and showrunner and Minkie Spiro directing the entirety. Production on Pieces of Her ran in early 2021 and now Netflix is looking to build anticipation for the show's impending arrival.
